Sixteen-year-old Maddy Taylor is on a beach holiday with her two sisters. Sure, she has to babysit. But three days to chill and hang with her best friend, checking out her smoking hot brother has got to be the teenage dream, right? Wrong. And Winona, who is as messy as she is beautiful, is no help. She’s broken up with her boyfriend and is under exam pressure.

Then things begin to disappear.

Suddenly, Paradise Caravan Park doesn’t feel the same as before. In fact, paradise turns downright creepy. In order to protect herself and her sisters, Maddy must be stronger and braver than she’s ever been before.

"Last night I stayed up late in order to get Bulletproof finished. In truth, I couldn’t put it down. The book reads like a top ten young adult list book. I fell in love with the characters, recognised every aspect of the Australian landscape and lifestyle and cried and cried at the ending almost yelling at the book that this could not be the end. And, then, to bring the characters some peace at the end was such a comfort, but I still couldn’t sleep! This book should be compulsory reading and part of the school curriculum, in my opinion."

About the Author

Writer Wendy Howitt survived an all girls’ education where she wrote really bad poetry and plays starring her classmates, some of whom are still friends today. She currently lives in Sydney with one husband, two teenagers and two mini dachshunds. She has written on staff for Vogue Australia, Harper’s Bazaar and Sydney Morning Herald. As a freelancer, her byline has appeared in many publications including Cleo, Inside Out magazine and The Australian Magazine and she has won two beauty journalism awards. She is the author of two young adult books, USER PAYS and BULLETPROOF. Her hobbies include list writing and visiting the library.
